Pro-Palestinian activists in France protest against the match with Israel. On Monday, at least twenty people stormed the French Football Federation (FFF) building in Paris to protest against the staging of the match between France and Israel at the Stade de France. The teams are scheduled to meet on November 14 as part of the Nations League.
As RMC Sport reports with reference to Off Investigation, the FFF offered to discuss the demands of the protesters with their representative - provided that the rest of the protesters leave the building. The activists refused.
We will continue to communicate our demands to the public. We are very calm, everyone on our site is calm. No one will be attacked or harmed, but we would like to be able to explain the reasons why we are extremely outraged and shocked by the announcement of such a match, while in other countries the match with Israel was postponed or played behind closed doors, -the protesters said.
On November 1, French Interior Minister Bruno Retaillot confirmed that the match would take place at the Stade de France and not elsewhere. He said that increased security measures would be introduced during the meeting, and did not rule out that spectators would be searched.
