Star Olympique Marseille Brandao was released from custody today, an investigative judge filed the original case against him. 30-year-old was arrested Tuesday on charges of rape.
23-year-old woman accused Brandao that raped her on March 2 after being back from a nightclub. The footballer denied the accusations, his allegations are that the sex was by mutual consent.
Investigation against him will continue for some time, they have questioned several of his teammates. Brandao was not in a group of Marseille for the last match against Rennes and coach Didier Deschamps admitted that the players find it difficult to maintain concentration for the case.
Today the president of Marseille Jean-Claude Dassia Brandao met to discuss how the player could return to the team.
Meanwhile, Mathieu Valbuena support his teammate: "I hope things get better. I really like Brandao. And the club does not need any scandals.
