The owner of the Wolves: Fine for United if placed weakened stock19-05-2011
Be fined Manchester United asked the owner of Wolverhampton Wanderers Steve Morgan, if the Red Devils come with a reduced staff in its last game of the season against Blackpool on Sunday.
Manchester United, who became champion of England for a record 19th time playing in next week's Champions League final against Barcelona. Therefore, it is expected Sir Alex Ferguson will not let all holders on Sunday against the "mandarins" who are the main rivals Wolves to stay in the Premier League.
Wolves, who last season were fined 25,000 pounds for having made 10 changes for their match with Manchester United believe that the champions will have to incur the same penalty if put into play in a weak stock.
"It would be quite two-faced if they be fined in such a case," said Morgan, whose team must defeat Blackburn, to remain in the top flight.
"We just have to do what you need. I do not know what they do. Manchester United are a professional team and will not want to lose the last day of the season when they will receive their championship trophy. You will not want to enter finals Champions League after defeat.
