Sturm Graz of Austria became a champion for the third time in its history. In the final round of the championship Sturm beat Wacker Innsbruck with 2:1.
The match was played the UPC Arena in Graz before 15,000 spectators. Goals for the winners noted Hyoltsl in 16 minutes and Muratovich 85 th. Goal for the visitors from Innsbruck Hauser noted in the 31 th minute.
The two previous titles Sturm are from 1998 and 1999 when the team was led Bosnian Ivica Osim.
The new champion of Austria will participate in the Champions League qualifiers in the next edition of the tournament.
Second-placed Red Bull Salzburg remained three points behind Sturm Graz and a third team of Austria Vienna.
