Former Dutch international Ronald Koeman will be appointed head coach of Feyenoord, local press reported. 48-year-old Koeman is expected in the coming days to be officially named coach of the Grand from Rotterdam to replace resigned Mario Been. The club refused to comment on and explained that next week will clear the name of the new head coach. Koeman last lead AZ Alkmaar, but the December 5, 2009 was dismissed for a series of poor results. In his coaching career he was still at the helm of Vitesse, Ajax, Benfica, PSV and Valencia Aynhdoven.
