Brazilian fans preparing protests against Teixeira19-08-2011 |
Brazilian fans are planning protests against the president of their football federation Ricardo Teixeira, the goal is to make him withdraw from his position for the World Cup in 2014.
The protests, which include more than 20 groups of fans came after police launched an investigation of corruption against Teixeira, who led the Brazilian football than two decades, said Thursday.
Demonstrations will be during the Brazilian championship matches on 27 and 28 August. Fans of clubs Flamengo and Corinthians will rise against posters Teixeira said the national organization of fans.
