Striker Swiss national football team Hakan Yakin announced it was withdrawing from further appearances for his country. 34-year-old veteran has played in two European Championships and two World, and believes it is time to make way for younger people. "The boys do well at the moment and do not want to disturb them," said Yakin's official website of FIFA. Switzerland coach Ottmar Hittsfeld not save praise for Yakin: "Hakan is a great player who always played great for his country." Yakin has 87 matches and 20 goals with the team of Switzerland in the period 2000-2011 year.
