Atletico Madrid beat with 3:1 Espanol as hosts and keep the chances to qualify for the Champions League,after having climbed to sixth place, at only three points behind the fourth Malaga, which, however, have to play one game more.
The week was extremely dynamic for Atletico as the match against Barcelona remained in the shadow of the clashes with Valencia in the semifinals in the Europa League, the first of which was won by a 4-2 Atletico three days ago, but on Thursday is the return match of the Mestalla after which will become clear which of the the two teams will qualify for the finals in Bucharest.

With the defeat at the stadium Vicente Calderon Espanol slipped to tenth position and lower their chances to qualify for European tournaments, although is only three points behind sixth Atletico Madrid.
