Ferguson: If we beat City in the derby, it will be one of my greatest moments7-12-2012 |
Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson said the eventual victory over Manchester City in the derby this weekend will be one of his greatest performance as a coach.
On Sunday, the "Red Devils" go to "Etihad" against their city rivals, and will try to move away the champions of six points from themselves. Last season, "The Citizens" signed "double" over United in the last campaign, as they made shocking 6:1 at "Old Trafford", and then and 1:0 at home.
"If we win, it will be one of our greatest results," said Ferguson. "City are very good, they are a strong team with brilliant players. It will not be easy, especially if we defend as well as against Reading. "
"The most important thing for us is to learn a lesson from their mistakes and fix them. We must find a solution, otherwise we will face serious problems. At this stage of the season we really can not say whether the league is a two horse race. If you look back at one point we were 12 points behind Chelsea, and when Arsenal took our title in 1998 we led with 11, "added Ferguson
