The defender of Athletic Bilbao Fernando Amorebieta is in advanced talks with Arsenal, his agent has revealed.
The central defender will be able to leave the Basques as a free agent at the end of the season, as his contract expires in June and the player does not want to renew it.
His agent Jin Carvajal revealed that several clubs have contacted him because Amorebieta, but the 27-year-old has a clear idea of where he wants to continue his career.
"From Anzhi Makhachkala contacted us and were ready to make a good offer," said Carvajal. "But Fernando wants to play in England, so transfer in Russia is simply impossible."
"We are currently in negotiations with Arsenal, so he can join them in June," hinted the agent of Amorebieta.
