Former Manchester United star David Beckham said he was surprised by the decision of Wayne Rooney to stay in the team of Red Devils.
In the last week the striker refused to sign a new contract and said he wants to leave Old Trafford, but later changed his mind and signed a new contract for five years.
"I'm not surprised at all that Rooney decided to stay at Manchester United. They are the biggest club in the world and have the best manager. This is an easy solution, "said Beckham.
"It's great that he stays. If I had the chance to stay at Manchester United, I did it myself. My situation, however, was radically different, "said Beckham.
