The former owner of Portsmouth - Alexandre Gaydamak, will save the club from liquidation as simplify its debt of 2.2 million euros. Portsmouth had to pay the amount of Gaydamak, but lawyers for the businessman said that their customers do not want this to happen immediately. In the spring of 2010 Portsmouth relegated from the Premier League last season and was placed under administration and even its existence has been questioned. "Most likely it will soon have the signed documents," said lawyers for Alexandre Gaydamak. In 2009, Gaydamak sold Portsmouth and wanted immediate payment of the ownership of the club.
