The Croatian player of Real Madrid Luka Modric will be absent from the game in the next 3 months.
"The test results showed thigh muscle tear of his left leg," the statement said of the club.
Real Madrid did not report the time required to recover the player, but it seems that he will miss the matches of the team next three months.
Luka Modric certainly will not take part in the Club World Cup.
He received another injury in the 25th minute of European qualification between Italy and Croatia at "San Siro".
His place will probably be occupied from Sami Khedira or Asier Yaramendi. Carlo Ancelotti has hinted that he may draw and Isko in rear positions if such a move is necessary.
