Team Tottenham announced that it has signed a preliminary agreement with Supersport United's South African national defense Bong Kumata.
23-year-Koeman, who had a remarkable summer for the team to South Africa 2010 World Cup will move to White Hart Lane in January.
The player was already sampling in September in North London and has impressed the coaching staff of the Spurs.
Manager Harry Redknapp, who has permanent problems with his defense, acknowledged today that the player will join his team in early 2011, after obtaining a work visa for UK.
Redknapp said: "It is not an expensive player. Bongo was in our samples and we liked it. There is potential and we have learned with Supersport. "
"This will be a great chance for the kid. It is a wonderful boy. Comes from a poor family and wants to get a chance to express themselves, so we'll give him this chance, "said Spurs coach.
