Referee of the stormy match between Celtic and Rangers last week has received numerous telephone threats after a controversial penalty ruled in favor of the Rangers.
Scottish Football Association confirmed that Willie Callum, who played his first Celtic-Rangers derby has received many calls after the game. In the calls, which were the home phone of Callum, the judge has heard the voice that it threatened "to go after him, his wife and children.
This forced the referee to signal the police. "Willie has received numerous calls with threats at home, one of which was heard by his wife. Such behavior is absurd and has no place in football," said the Scottish Football Association.
