Milan coach, Sinisa Mihailovic, acknowledged that he expected the goalkeeper Diego Lopez soon to return to the familiar form, but in the absence of the latter, the teenager Donaruma Gianluigi got his full trust.
The Rossoneri received occasions to get excited by the performances of the only 16-year-old guard, that record of Gianluigi Buffon for the earliest debut in Serie A.
Mihailovic — who also is rumored to be at odds with Diego Lopez – was honest and said he could not guarantee the titular place when the more experienced colleague is ready to play.
'Diego Lopez is a goalkeeper, who I respect a lot, if only because of the fact that game under conditions that were not perfect, but not complained.', said Sinisa.
'He has all the time to regain his form. We will wait for him. With these words I do not send a message to Donaruma, who is very young, but he kept his promises. Yes, he will make a few mistakes, but it's the future of Italian football.'
'Donaruma became better and better with each passing game. He really made some mistakes, but there were also some great saves. He enjoys my respect.', said Mihailovic.
