The bayer coach is banned for 5 matches24-02-2016
The head coach of Bayer Leverkusen, Roger Schmidt was banned for five games, two of which conditional, for disorderly conduct during a Bundesliga match against Borussia Dortmund on Sunday.
Schmidt got the ban to lead the team in the next three meetings, and the penalty for the other two fights will come into effect in such misconduct by June 2017. The specialist will also have to pay a fine of 20,000 euros.
The reason for the punishment is that Schmidt refused to leave the bench after he was removed from the main arbitrator Felix Cvajer for violently contesting in the winning goal for Borussia Dortmund with 1:0.
After the coach of Bayer Leverkusen made it clear he has no intention of leaving his seat beside the touchline, Cvajer and the other footballers gathered them out of the ground. The match, however, was renewed about nine minutes later, after Schmidt still went into the stands.
The Sporting Director Rudi Foler was also penalizedwithy 10 thousand euros for making sharp remarks to the judge in a television interview after the match.
