Robbie Keane is leaving the team of Los Angeles Galaxy after the end of his contract in December, it was confirmed by the club from the United States.
The former captain of the Irish national team joined the team from the State of California in 2011.
'I confirm that after five fantastic years I will leave Galaxy. I scored over 100 goals, won three championship titles and was voted the best footballer. It makes me look at those years with pride.', said the 36-year-old Keane, who is a former player of Tottenham Hotspur.
The attacker refused participation in the national team of Ireland in August.
