The Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi will receive 'only' 30 million euros per season, re-signing his contract with the club, informs the English press.
The amount is below that which was in the media space: 35 million euros. So Leo is not going to be the best-paid footballer on the planet after Carlos Tevez.
The Catalan newspaper 'Sport' said that the new contract is the final for Messi and it will shortly be announced officially.
The five-term winner of the Golden Ball has a current contract with the Blaugranas until 30 June 2018 and will in all likelihood get re-assigned to another four seasons.
