Verona`s big derby from the 1/16-final of the Italian Cup was decided after shooting. In the regular time, Chievo and Verona did not win a winner, with the match finishing 1:1, but in the penalty shootout the symbolic guests in this match made 5:4 accurate shots.
Chievo led early in the score. Already in the 8th minute, veteran Sergio Pelicier gave the lead to the Flying Asshole. In the 34th minute, however, Verona regained equality, and Mohammed Salim Perez was the author of the equalizer. By the end of the regular time and the extra time no more goals were scored and so the winner had to be broadcast after penalty shoot-outs. There, Pelicier missed the first shot for Chievo and it was fatal because all Verona`s performers were right and with 5:4 the yellow-and-blue went on. This victory brought little joy to the fans of Verona, as the team goes badly in the championship and occupies the penultimate 19th place. The 1/8-finals are going to visit AC Milan.
