Augsburg and Nuremberg not winner in Bavarian derby21-11-2018
The teams of Augsburg and Nurnberg finished equally 2:2 in the Bavarian derby of the 10th round of the Bundesliga. Augsburg twice led Alfred Finbogson (11) and Jonathan Schmidt (59), but the guests were equalizing through Alexandre Fuchs (54) and Lucas Muelle (88).
In the first part the hosts were the more active team and deservedly led in the 11th minute through Finbogason, which was scored on an empty door a few meters away. By the end of the half-time, however, the only interesting situation was in the 24th minute when Augsburg could redouble its lead after a corner kick but an opponent managed to clear the ball in front of the goal. In the opening minutes after the break, however, both teams played more dangerous. In the 54th Finbogason was close to the second goal in the match but his head shot crossed the crossbar. In the subsequent attack, Fuchs equalized the score after Andreas Lute failed to reflect his shot. Only five years later Augsburg again led a brilliant free kick from Schmidt, who did not leave the chances of the opposing goalkeeper. By the end of the match the guests looked for a new leveling and managed to get to that. In the 88th minute, Muel scored his head after completing the corner and thus brought the point of his team.
Thus Augsburg is ranked 9th with 13 points, while Nürnberg is 14th with three less.
