David Beckham intends to live permanently in the U.S. and wants to apply for U.S. citizenship.
Former captain of the England football team, who move to Beverly Hills in 2007 with his wife Victoria and his three sons - Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz has no plans to be back in Britain.
Instead, he hopes to remain in America as long as his family feel happy with their joint lives there, but insists it will never forget their English roots.
Asked by the Los Angeles Times if he wants to get U.S. citizenship, David, who was born and raised in London, said: "I hope one day to happen. It would be good. I was born in England and will always be an Englishman. "
"Our boys go to school here. As long as they continue to be happy here and my wife intend to stay. "
Despite his love for America, footballer wants to bring a small part of England to Los Angeles where he opened a pub called "Queen Victoria".
