The Honda brand will be featured in the name of the power plants for the Red Bull and Alpha Tauri teams.
The Japanese company left Formula 1 at the end of the 2021 season, but continued to work on power plants for these teams. In 2022, the engines were used under the Red Bull Powertrains brand - the first engine was called RBPTH001.
From next season the power units will be used as Honda RBPT.
Note that Red Bull and Honda have submitted two independent applications as manufacturers for the 2026 season.
