Tottenham defender Benoit Assou-Ekotto has signed a new five-year contract with the team from North London. Under the new contract, 26-year-old Cameroon international will remain at White Hart Lane until June 30, 2015. Surprisingly, the new agreement took place after last year Assou-Ekotto was countersigned by Spurs for 4 +1 years, it was valid until 2014. Spurs manager Harry Redknapp, however, is a big fan of one of the best backs in the Premier League and wanted to make sure that will keep him in the team for long, because what happened and the new contract.
