Bayern Munich midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger was named Footballer of the Year in Germany by the magazine "kickers."
Schweinsteiger, who recently renewed his contract with the champions in 2016, was one of the best in the composition of Bundestima World Cup this summer, where the German team reached the semifinals.
26-year-old Bastian has 223 games in the Bundesliga, the country's five titles and six cups since signed with Bayern in 1998.
