French defender Eric Abidal of Barcelona recovering after undergoing surgery yesterday to remove a tumor in the liver, reported by the club. 31-year-old French international undergo surgery in a clinic in Barcelona. Frenchman is expected to be sidelined until the end of the season. After a week Abidal will be released from hospital depending on his condition. The club explained that the operation lasted three hours and the tumor was removed successfully.
