Former coach Carlos Queiroz Real Madrid arrived in Tehran today to sign a contract with the local Federation as head coach of Iran national team in football, announced Monday.
The contract is for 3 years, but other details have not been reported.
The main goal before Carlos Queiroz is to classify Iran World Cup in Brazil in 2014-a year. Iran missed Mondial'2010, and completed last month Cup of Asia fell in the quarterfinals.
In mid-February Queiroz refused to take the job, for reasons pointed out that his family does not want to live in Tehran.
