Ankle surgery will prevent Newcastle striker Leon Best to play more this season. The team from northeast England has confirmed that 24-year-old striker will remain in the infirmary of the "Magpies" by the end of the campaign. Best has missed the last two meetings of his team defeat by Stoke 0:4 and 4:1 win over Wolves, because of the problem, so it will operate his ankle in London later this week. Lack of Best is a big blow to the ambitions of Newcastle to keep their place in the Premier League after the sale of Andy Carroll. "Magpies, however, are seven points from the danger zone, and by the end of the campaign remaining seven rounds, so most likely they will have no problem in maintaining their elite status.
